Recipes,
nothing more.
No origin stories. No travel memoirs. No history of chickpeas. Paste a link or upload a photo of a recipe you already have, and keep a clean, consistent copy in your own private library.
How it works
Three steps, every time, no matter where the recipe came from.
Bring a recipe
Paste the URL of a recipe you found, or upload a photo of a card, a cookbook page, or a handwritten note.
We strip it down
Ingredients, quantities, steps, times, and yield, normalized to one consistent format. Missing details are flagged, never invented.
It's yours, privately
The clean version lands in your own library. Nothing you save is public, searchable by anyone else, or shared between accounts.
What you get
Every recipe in your library reads the same way, regardless of where it came from.
Why this exists
Most recipe sites bury the actual recipe under a life story, three ads, and a newsletter signup. Bare Bones Cooking keeps only the part you cook from: the ingredients, the steps, the times, and a visible link back to where it came from.
